The Northern coast of Colombia sits on the fringe of the Caribbean, and the beaches are of an exceptional quality. When I travelled the Northern coast there were two particularly relaxed spots – Cabo San Juan and Palomino. There’s really not too much else to say other than Santa Marta is the closest airport and both beaches are perfect for extreme relaxing. Here are the pics.
Cabo San Juan

A bit of paradise in Tayrona National Park.

You will meet friends.

Looking out onto the Caribbean.

Decent sunsets.

Excessively good times.
Palomino

Palomino has the perfect beach and there’s hardly anyone on it.

My daily breakfast joint.

Delicious.

I was staring into these trees and thinking about absolutely nothing. Brilliant.
The good people of Santa Marta will point you in the right direction for both beaches. If you talk to the right people you can get a speed boat from Cabo San Juan back to Taganga, although I highly highly recommend wearing a lifejacket. Backyard operation.
